Raksha Bandhan is a cherished cultural festival that symbolizes the enduring bond of love and protection between siblings. The term “Raksha Bandhan” literally translates to the “bond of protection,” where sisters tie a sacred thread around their brothers’ wrists, and in return, brothers pledge to protect and support their sisters throughout their lives. This festival is a beautiful expression of mutual respect, care, and affection, emphasizing the importance of family and the values of love and responsibility.
To help our kindergarteners appreciate the significance of this special festival, we organized some engaging activities on Friday, 16th August 2024.
In the first activity, Song Presentation, children were given the opportunity to sing a few lines of a song related to Raksha Bandhan on stage. This activity was designed to encourage creative expression while helping the children grasp the festival’s significance through music—and it was a great success.
For the second activity, we guided the children in creating Oreo chocolate pops, which turned out to be a great success. The students thoroughly enjoyed their sweet treats and eagerly took a few home to share with their parents, proudly showcasing their culinary creations.
It was a day entirely dedicated to the heartwarming festival of Raksha Bandhan, where music and sweets combined to make the occasion truly unforgettable.
